Business unit Item within Länsförsäkringar AB is responsible for the non-life insurance business, including animal and crop insurance, and health insurance, which, according to instructions from the regional insurance companies, shall be conducted by Länsförsäkringar AB.

Business unit Saks's mission is to supplement the companies 'offering with special products to meet the customers' needs and to start a new business that can then be brought out to the regional insurance companies. The businesses are run so that the regional insurance companies can offer customers a broad assurance range for people, animals, property and get a good reinsurance protection.

Länsförsäkringar Sak signs healthcare, sickness and accident insurance in the Health area, companies special insurance and international reinsurance, and handles the Länsförsäkringar Alliance's total reinsurance cover.

Animal insurance is run in the subsidiary Agria Djurförsäkring and in the subsidiary Länsförsäkringar Gruppliv group insurance is signed which is an important part of the customer offering within the growing business area Health.
